Love it or hate it – Sense is an inseparable part of HTC’s Android offerings, and it’s not going anywhere soon. While past Sense iterations have been pretty cartoonish, the latest version of the UI overlay, Sense 5, which can be found on the HTC One, has been majorly simplified.
If you’re wondering whether Sense 5 will make it to other models, we’re hearing from HTC that it’ll be bringing the new UI to select devices. As posted on its Facebook page, the company said that it will be “offering upgrades to some of its existing devices in the next few months”. The list for now only includes the One X, One X+, One S, and Butterfly.
However, note that the software update won’t include all of Sense 5 features, as some are dependent on the HTC One hardware.
While it’s not mentioned on the list, the Droid DNA is likely to receive the update in the future. After all, we’ve seen the 5-inch 1080p phone sporting Sense 5 before in the past.
So, are you looking forward to see Sense 5 and the accompanying Blinkfeed? Do you like the revamped UI? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments below.
