Lenovo A1000
Lenovo kicked off its MWC 2013 campaign by announcing three budget-friendly mid-range Android tablets, hoping to mimic the success enjoyed by the Google Nexus 7 and Nexus 10. Unfortunately, the specifications of the Lenovo A1000, A3000, and S6000 fall just short of the very tablets it’s hoping to take on, but still boast one feature that many consumers would like, the availability of expandable storage.

Both the A1000 and the A3000 feature 7-inch displays with 1024×600 resolutions (unconfirmed for the A1000), which is a lower than the 1280×800 resolution of the Nexus 7. The Lenovo A1000 is powered by a 1.2 Ghz dual-core MediaTek processor, includes 16GB of internal storage further expandable via microSD up to 32GB, and comes with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on-board. What makes the A1000 stand out is the integration with Dolby Digital Plus and its large front-facing speakers, making the device “perfect for music lovers.”

On the other hand, the Lenovo A3000 boasts a 1.2 Ghz quad-core processor, with all other specifications being the same as the A1000, with the exception of the Dolby Digital Plus integration. The A3000 also features microSD expansion up to 64GB, and boasts a sleek form factor at only 11mm thick and weighing just 340 g, making the tablet ultra-portable. Both 3G and WiFi-only versions of the Lenovo A3000 will be available.
The Lenovo S6000, features a 10.1-inch IPS display with 1280×800 resolution, is powered by a 1.2 Ghz quad-core MediaTek processor, and boasts “a substantial battery that allows for more than 8 hours of continuous Wi-Fi browsing.” The S6000 will also have  3G and WiFi-only versions.

All we know about the price at this point is that Lenovo will be pricing the tablets “very aggressively,” and will be released worldwide in Q3 2013. Check out the press release below to find out more about the Lenovo A1000, A3000, and A6000.
What are your thoughts? Would you consider buying the Lenovo A1000, A3000, and A6000?  Will Lenovo be able to take on the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 with its newly-announced lineup of budget-friendly Android tablets?
